Recommended by local friends, was circumspect when we walked in. Strip mall feel, no shortage of attitude from cashier/server that warmed as we waited. Wife and son shared fish taco and steak taco they raved about and I had the Azul Taco that might be best taco experience ever! Highly recommend the stop!

Stopped on my way to San Diego. Amazing! Friendly staff very helpful. Limited menu, but it's all the stuff I like so it was up my alley. Delicious! Ordered the cousteau plate. Tacos terrific and the beans and rice? Fresh, flavorful, yummy. Can't say enough. Went back a few days later with some friends and they also really enjoyed the... More

We had fish taco plates. Good job on the fish, but a little heavy on the slaw. Good rice and great beans. Drink selection was limited to "healthy" stuff so we had water. We stayed in area a week and found much better places to eat. Will probably not return..

OMG, I wish I could show you my pictures of Haggo's beautiful, inspired Taco dishes! Unfortunately I can't show you Haggo's photos. I guess you could say it's a technical problem. OK, here's details of the technical glitch. Wife and I had already reviewed the online menu so we knew what we wanted: - Wife ordered "The Cousteau" which depends... More

Haggos has a unqiue and refreshing take on the classic fish taco! The Habanero sauce is divine and everything about this place is just darn cute!

Stopped in with 2 of my New York sons. It's a nice place on 101 in Encinitas, and it was not crowded (it's open only for lunch 11 till 3 PM). We ordered Burritos - SEAHAGG - with the catch of the day which happened to be a grouper. Rice and Beans were a good addition to the burrito -... More

Haggos has the best tacos in town - Cardiff, Encinitas, or Leucadia! It's a fun place to sit inside or out. The staff is friendly. It was our first visit, but I'm sure it's the first of many. We just love Haggos!

Saw this place on diners drive-ins and dives and thought it would be a great place to stop off en-route to San Diego from LA. Food all cooked to order, and the tacos tasted so fresh they were amazing. It was a good choice. Wasn't too busy either - although it's on the main drag as you pass through Encinitas... More

Ok so I was thrown by the limited hours of operation. I'm glad I got the opportunity to try it!! You have to try the fish tacos (fish of the day) - you will not be disappointed!!!

Please see my review above. As a true Mexican, I am insulted that they call this food Mexican food. It is not. They have some weird tastes going that I don't particularly care for. Sorry.
