While the owner is still very sad about losing the chargers, (bar totally charger memorabilia) this is the best Mexican food in the area. Love the fact you can order alacarte items and not be stuck with rice and beans I won't eat. Order the flautas or tacos. Deep fried with the meat is inside and very tasty. Cadillac Margarita... I visited for lunch during the week. This was my first visit and I enjoyed it. There wasn't a huge lunch crowd so we were served quickly. The lunch menu offered just the right number of options at a great price. The servings were enough for two meals. The queso fundado was delicious...amazing flavor! The atmosphere was good, not loud... More

Went to lunch there the other day (March 2017) with friends. Service was pleasant but the food was uninspiring - bland and lukewarm. First time there. Had one cheese and one beef enchilada with rice and beans - my favorites. Might try again.

Just ate here for lunch. The food was great. I really liked that they brought out a small fruit cup along with the chips and salsa. I had the shrimp fajitas and everyone else had the steak fajitas. It was a good portion of shrimp and the veggies weren't just onions. The tortillas were warm and soft. The plate even... More

Anejo Grill is an unique Mexican Restaurant; serving standard dishes but also items you would not find on a standard Mexican restaurant menu. Had the Carnitas plate...lots of food....good flavor. My wife had the fajitas and loved them. We both took home food for lunch the following day! Has a bar area, lots of sports TVs and is very busy... More

Not a hole-in-the-wall family restaurant. This large restaurant made a great place to eat after spending the day at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It was packed, including a number of large parties, but the bartenders took great care of us. The food is definitely Mexican, but a lot of the items are special recipes of the house. Happy... More

I think this may be my first "Terrible" review ever posted here on Trip Advisor. Found this restaurant on Yelp and gave it a try as it was close to our hotel (Rancho Bernardo Inn). We were greeted by a pleasant waitress. Wanted a margarita since it was a Mexican restaurant. I specifically asked for a margarita made with only... More

Fun place for yummy Mexican food and margaritas. We love the molcajete & the chile verde. Staff is friendly, management is community-oriented and the atmosphere is lively. If you want to dine on a Friday or Saturday night, make a reservation or plan go a wait.

Won't go back. Two rude guys working the bar on Saturday at noon. We went in and said we'd like some tacos "to go." The guy at the front door told us to go order at the bar. We got to the bar, told the guy that we'd like to order food to go. He couldn't have been less interested... More

Have driven by this place many times - but you know - it is in a strip mall next to a yogurt shop and normally you just don't find good restaurants in that position. We were wrong - place is bigger and busier than imagined. Great, fast service - reasonable pricing, and the food was really good. This moves up... More
