Actually first real food in America what we d found (after one week in SF and on the way to/from Yosemite NP). Mushrom Soup very good, just a potato could led to excelent. Salmon very good, home made ravioli very good and true, first true bread in US. Surprisingly in this town where we would not expect that. Our prejudiction.... More

Just strolling through Exeter enjoying the murals and saw this cute little bistro. I had a fabulous vegetable panini which the chef made up on the fly for me as I am a vegetarian. They had a great wine selection even by the glass~perfect! The server was really pleasant and very thorough checking what was available for me that wasn't... More

Great restaurant and would be good for wine buffs as there was plenty of wine tasting. We enjoyed our meal, the tables are very close together and there were some very noisy locals.

We have eaten here many wonderful times over the past 4 years, but last Monday was the most perfect and amazing evening ever. We had a lovely Zinfandel, a couple of appetizers and dinner. There was live music, happy people and while we enjoyed ourselves tremendously - we didn't break the bank. I had to ask - because we had... More

My first visit to Monet's was fabulous. Couldn't fault it except that the lavender cheesecake that it is famous for wasn't ready so we had to settle for something else. Don't misunderstand-the 'something else' was DELICIOUS. The service was great and all in all it was lovely. Imagine my disappointment then when I rang last week to make a booking... More

While visiting Sequoia National Park and King's Canyon, our host suggested we visit Exeter to get a feel for a farming town and the surrounding orchards. Exeter was only 30 minutes away from Three Rivers, CA (which is near the Sequoia park enterance). We planned the day so we could eat at Monet's which had been recommended. The food was... More

A hidden gem totally worth the drive to Exeter. I love their menu because you can get really nice sandwiches for dinner without spending a fortune, or more upscale dishes for your special nights out. The desserts are amazing and they have a wonderful wine list with many local Central Coast favorites.

I'm a local, just live down the street, but, this place never disappoints! My favorite? I love to gather with girlfriends when they open their doors - 11 a.m. for lavender latte's (although, I don't like sweet, so I always ask for light on the syrup-perfect) & their cheese platter. Such a special treat - and, enough to consider it... More
