The food here is just so darn good! So fresh and authentic! Everything on the menu is delicious, but be sure to order an appetizer of the onion pancakes. They are out of this world!! I personally LOVE the generals chicken and the lemon chicken. SOO GOOD!!

this place fills the bill. Kind of out of the way but it does serve a good meal for those with that craving. Try their duck or the venerable General Tso's chicken.

Very basic atmosphere, but great fresh Chinese food, well prepared and great attentive service at a reasonable price

In a tiny strip mall a block off Hollister in "old town" Goleta sits a small, humble, good Chinese restaurant. The food is fresh and "nothing comes out of a can." In fact, two servers where picking fresh basil between serving their tables. We were grabbing a quick meal before a lecture at UCSB and it was easy. We liked... More

As a long-time customer it never ceases to amaze me how "trending" places that are, let's be honest, mostly subpar tend to be frequented while treasures such as Red Pepper hang on through the patronage from mostly locals while they shine and shine and shine on never giving up on quality and taste! This place, while starkly simple in décor,... More

This place is my sons favorite place to eat. He is 24 and every time I ask where do u want to eat, he says duh red pepper. Food and service is the best. They have that personal touch attitude. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the whole dining experience. Tip......Eat all the orange... More

Came her for business lunch. There are only a few Chinese restaurants in the area, so there are no competition. This place can never survive in Monterey Park or China Town because they serve American Chinese food. I came from Hong Kong and I was a Chinese chef for a few year while I was in college and I know... More

Ate here for first time. Food was good but the restaurant is in a converted apartment building so it is a bit of a dive. It was a warm evening and restaurant was also warm. They only had fans. After eating my Kung Pao Chicken I was soaking wet! Service was just OK and food was decent. Kung Pao Chicken... More

I have been going to Red Pepper for years and I have never had a bad meal. This is a family run business, wife out front, husband in the cramped kitchen cooking. Located on the ground floor of an apartment house they put great food on your table time after time. I strongly recommend a couple orders of onion pancakes.... More
