Local place, limited menu, but good friendly table service. They are very accommodating, can serve larger groups (with notice)

We thought we'd try a local restaurant for breakfast and looked at a few reviews, then decided to go to Alphie's. We had to wait quite a while before anyone came to see if we wanted to order, it seemed to be the owner who was waiting on tables. Then there was a woman who showed up and brought us... More

Owned by a family originally from the Philippines (and decorated that way), it's a day-in-and-out favorite of locals for many years, a great place to eat breakfast or brunch with your family if you are here visiting UCSB. The food and the prices are honest and there's ample parking in back although the driveway in is a little tight. It's... More

In old Goleta, a nice atmosphere, with delicious breakfast! The owner's dog greeted us outside, so cute! Inside is diner-like with counter seats and booths and tables too. There is a Hawaiian theme to the decor. It was clean and you are invited to seat yourself as you please. There is a good variety to the menu, from basic breakfast... More

Easy Parking off street and as soon as we sat down I was greeted with coffee. Menus were at the the table for quick viewing. Awesome specials like waffle, sausage, bacon and eggs with yummy maple syrup. You can have a pitcher of O.J. And the entire bottle of Champagne... Or just a glass. Very Hawaiian feel inside and menu... More

We regularly go to Alphie's for dinner because we know we will be served great food every time. The staff are great and very accommodating. I highly recommend the pork but the steaks are great too. My mum left on a high last time as she received a kiss on the cheek from Alphie himself. Thanks Alphie you made her... More

The food was just OK. The prices were economical. Feels very much like a diner. I ordered the chorizo mixed scrambled eggs but the chorizo was dry and crumbly and was more or less sprinkled into the scrambled eggs rather than folded into it.

The food and service here is ok though the place is pretty run down. Not bad for a quick inexpensive breakfast.

Service was really slow. It took awhile to get our menus, orders, and food. The food was okay. I got egg frittatas-the drifter with a side of wheat toast, which definitely filled me up. The feta cheese on the scrambled eggs were a bit heavy for me. I tried my friend's biscuit and gravy and it was pretty bland. It... More

The service was much better than reviews I read. We had quick service and it was friendly too. I love the family feeling of the staff. The food was good home cooking and we were all very satisfied with our food. I look forward to going back!
