On your trip this is a must see, the bar is from 1852 and i would suggest talking to the locals who have amazing stories to tell. They are very welcoming to us tourists and would enjoy finding out where your from too.

We passed by the Iron Door Saloon and decided to check it out on our way back. We are very glad that we did. This is a very interesting stop with lots of historical references and information. The food was great as was the very friendly and accommodating staff. The Buffalo Burger was fantastic.

Come in, sit down and knock back a few. This place is running over with authenticity. Different nights have open mike, karioke, etc. so if you have some talent, have a cocktail, bring yourself on up on the stage and become part of the entertainment.

Enjoyed the hospitality of California's longest serving saloon. Long traditional bar with various beers. Food was great, tried Buffalo Burger, really tasty.

A restaurant on the road, on our way back from the Yosemites, we stopped there but it was more cuz we were hungry after a long walk. Prices are expensive so we had a sup (i have no idea what was in) and vegetables + some chips and pieces of garlic bread. We will not go back to that place.

Stopped to find out why the Jeffery Hotel was closed as that was intended destination. People were friendly and willing to share about a fire and 'other' issues the current owner was facing.

First, we had a good dining experience. Second, unfortunately, because our party of 6 couldn't fit into the booths in the saloon, we had to dine in the annex. It was nice enough for a modern add-on room, with historic pictures and whatnot, but certainly did not have the energy of the saloon. Oh well. It was a Saturday evening... More

Overall this was a really good place to eat. The food was good, the service was good, and the atmosphere was fab too. It's a really cool place with all the stuff on the ceiling and the walls. Me and the other half had the Western burger, chicken strips & onion rings which were all great. The portion sizes were... More

This is a great place to drink some beers and watch a game. The bonus is the great cheeseburgers. A lot of locals too. Friendly.

Thank Michael M
