The fried fish and chips were terrible. Fish was tough, batter awful. Clam chowder was fair. Total price for lunch with soda was $20. Way to high.

Trash found in my salad, salad was less than fresh and basic but a generous portion. Shrimp was smaller than most places and breading was bland. Fries were clearly frozen.

While I wouldn't go here just for the food, I would return as the food is decent and the location is beautiful!!! They have indoor and outdoor seating and we were able to sit outside for dinner even in November as they have lots of outdoor heaters that keep it cozy. Kid's menu was also decent so easy to take... Food was bad. Coleslaw not edible. Too bad as the setting would seem to favor that it is a nice place to eat and close to the beach. Not worth another visit.

We're from the area around 20 miles from Fin's and have dinner there probably on the average of once a month. We have found that the service is very friendly and may take awhile if they are busy but since the food is so good, we don't have a gripe. When you say "SLO" it means that sometimes service is... We used to go to Fin's a couple times a year but I doubt if we'll ever go back. My husband does like their fish and chips and I used to go specifically for their clam chowder bread bowl. We had good service but when I got my clam chowder, my husband asked what the "pink" things were in my... More

Checked in at the front, that's apparently pretty important from what I now read from previous reviews, but that still didn't help our service unfortunately. Would recommend a more obvious hostess kiosk or check in location. Sat in the patio area, maybe 3 tables seated inside at the time and over time 4 other tables seated outside so not busy,... More

My wife and I talked to our neighbor about clam chowder and how busy all of the restaurants are in Pismo. That's when our neighbor told us about Fin's in Grover Beach and that they had good clam chowder. So we went the next day for lunch. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Not only was the... More

My wife and I were on a weekend away, and randomly tried Finns and we were so very pleased. We sat inside but they also have a very nice patio area on the west side facing the beach. On that night they had live music, (he was very good), and it increased the joyful ambiance even more. The prices are... More
