Just a confusion of poor service, bright lights, people standing around dining area, lack of servers, s and m server outfits.. ugh... and not a cocktail bar by any means...

Overall, the food has been average. Do not go here unless I have a Groupon. Not worth it otherwise because it's poor value otherwise.

Went for Valentine's dinner which has fixed fare. The food was tasty, as good as other more difficult places to reserve. Trouble started with no parking, so ended up late, but given table within 5 minutes. The service was not very good, and the cost fairly high for fixed fare (one main dish was not available anymore at 7:45 PM).

Stay away from this place. There is no management on duty, only employees that seem to do what ever they choose. Bartenders are rude in that they seem to cater to just locals, not new customers. Service in food area was ridiculous, young tatted up young lady with a bad attitude. I'm using her tattoos as reference since I did... More

This was an odd dining experience for me. First time at Bijou and it struck me as a place that wasn't sure what it wanted to be. I couldn't tell if it wanted to be a sports bar or an upscale dining spot. As a dining destination, it definitely misses. I ordered the short ribs. Although tasty, it was definitely... More

I've been to happy hour and have had dinner here. I prefer the happy hour. The dinner faire was fair but their happy hour in the bar/lounge is fun. The lounge decor fun, a bit retro chic. They have a TV that was set on an important game last time but it does not at all feel like a sports... More

Had prix fixe menu and service that was great. Drink special was tasty and hit the spot. Been there twice and plan on going again. Used groupon for great value.

This place was horrible ! Went there on Sunday evening after watching movie, they were out of two items on their limited menu. My husband and I both ordered chicken that was tasteless served by disinterested staff. I will never return and wasted 60 bucks and felt nauseous that night and next morning ,my husband also reported he felt stomach upset.... More

I tried Bijou twice. It felt pretentious and out of place. Not really sure why or how they've managed to stay afloat with the menu and that late 90's modern atmosphere, but they have. The food was over priced and gross and the service was not what I would expect from a downtown Hayward establishment. We're typically blue collar, friendly... More

Sports bar atmosphere, but the food is top notch. Service is good; we ate early (6 PM). Nice menu selection and good drink choices.
