The food is truly delicious and the historic building is just charming. Lots of ambiance and great service. The clam chowder was the highlight at our table. Great list of local wines. The building tends to get cold in the winter months so bundle up...More

The food is amazing. They have a fantastic Cesar Salad; the fresh oysters and clam chowder are tasty. The wine by the glass is solid. Given its location, it's a gem. I am giving it one stars because of staff training/communication. I had lunch at...More

Lovely neighborhood restaurant with good service. The menu is varied and the kitchen is extremely accommodating (ie- leaving out the pancetta in the Brussels Sprouts). Reservations necessary during high season.

We stopped for lunch after a hiking and it was worth the stop. Besides the oysters which are worth the stop by themselves, we had a grilled cheese. No, not wonder bread and cheese product. Think sourdough, with aged cheddar, bacon and pesto.

Really good food. We had local fish and roasted chicken, both very well done. Oysters on the half shell were superb. You'd think you could take that for granted around Tomales Bay but not all places are reliable. Pleasant service.

Hello, Owner Luc responding to your inquiry. Pardon my tone if I came off as impatient. It was in no way intentional. We do encourage web reservations and we seldom run out of menu items. I'll adopt a more cheerful tone... More

Saltwater is a neighborhood oyster bar, restaurant and wine shop that is rooted in its respect for sustainably managed farmlands, shellfish producing water bottoms and folks that are engaged in the thoughtful gathering of food.
