The huevos rancheros was good. The chips with cheese i.r a full flour totilla fried was a great appetizer. The chilli releno was decent and the rice was flavorful. The rice has chicken stock

From the hostess to the waitresses or waiters to the owner Martha everyone is friendly and you know you'll have a good meal and nice dining experience. Primarily a mexican menu there is all kinds of choices and everything is well prepared. Don't expect fancy food but food prepared with care. I hear their Margarita's are very good. On weekdays... We were traveling through California looking for a good lunch spot, thankfully we chose well with Jose's. Free chips and salsa, the salsa had fresh ingredients. I ordered a chimichanga filled with pork cooked in tomatillo sauce...it was excellent. The refried beans and Mexican rice were good but not great. Service was very good. Atmosphere is Mexican but could use... More

Atmosphere seems to be about average for a Mexican restaurant. Food is good, but we've had better. Service was ok.

I've been here twice and it is the blandest and most flavorless Mexican food I've ever had. I also think it was pretty overpriced - $15 for a chimichanga! I admit there aren't many options in the Jackson area and not many places to write home about either, so you have to give and take a little (or a LOT).... More

Always seen quite a few cars here when we've driven through area....thought we'd try it. Had 3 beef enchiladas with beans & rice ($13.95)., which my husband & I split. Thought it to be pricey. I thought the enchiladas & rice were good, but the beans were really pasty (I like them more on the thinner, less pasty side). And... More

Jose's has nice menu options with authentic northern Mexico dishes that you don't often find in other Mexican restaurants. The staff is friendly and the service is fast.

We stopped here for dinner after a fun filled day in Jackson. I had a craving for tacos and Jose's three beef tacos hit the spot. Instead of the usual chips and salsa that start off meal, we were served something different. It was like a quesadilla, but not quite. We were served a flat fried flour tortilla with melted... More

Overpriced and super mediocre. Paid 15 clams for a burrito and rice and beans. The burrito was super puny and tasted like it was microwaved flour tortilla. I would have been insulted if I paid 3 bucks for what they served me. Mehhhh....
