Sandan, I believe is part of the training (staff) restaurant scheme in Cambodia. The setting in the bamboo courtyard is lovely and the food and attentive service is excellent too. Cleanliness and toilet facilities also A1.

We ate here a few days ago and were blown away with the quality of the food and service. For trainee staff at essentially a hospitality teaching restaurant, the service was the best we've experienced in Cambodia, attentive without being over bearing, and friendly without seeming to be forced. The food was amazing, in particular the potato quenelle (aka gnocchi)... More

This place offers tasty delicious dishes with lots of fresh veg and subtle flavours. Staff all speak English and service is attentive and polite. We both thought it was the best meal we've had in Sihanoukville to date. It's set in a lovely garden and has a large play area for young children too!

I love the fact they try and help young locals by training them within this industry. The waiters wear student or teacher shirts, some are teaching and some still learning. Very great customer service. Food is always good never disappointed, however unfortunately I have to say the food or the menu maybe doesn't have the wow factor. But a nice... More

Our private tour included a coffee break and lunch here at Sandan when we visited Sihounoville on a port day. This is a training school for former street kids and they paid attention to all the details as far as food and service go. We first went there late morning for coffee break. A small buffet of snacks, like skewer,... More

Chicken Mango Cashewnut and Eggplant Zucchini vegetable dish very good, can recommend. Slow cook pork ribs okay, yet had better elsewhere. Not make our top 5 in Sihanoukville, yet worth a visit for Khmer style.

Restaurant is really impressive to look at. We are vegetarians and they certainly had options. However, we thought it was mediocre. The food did not wow us. On the other hand it seemed a lot cleaner than most restaurants in the area. They say they have clean ice and water which is very comforting.

Had dinner at Sandan and the food was excellent. We ate the seafood amok, a stir fry, scallops and fried rice. It was all delicious and the best meal we have eaten in Cambodia. Even better than the high end restaurants like Malis which we found overrated.
