Dinner at Puesto was amazing. They bring you fresh chips and salsa immediately, and they pay close attention and bring more as soon as your bowl is empty! Our waiter was phenomenal. We had the taco trio- for $16, you get to pick three creative...More

Three & 1/2 years ago we visited SD for a friend's wedding & accidentally discovered Puesto while walking in La Jolla. We decided to have a drink+snacks at the bar - the Mexican Street Bowl of fruit, sampler of 3 salsas & Puesto Perfect margaritas....More

This Mexican restaurant has won awards in California for its delicious tacos and it wowed us. Mexican with a flair. Everything was fresh and made by the kitchen staff you see working through the glass divide. In our two day stay in La Jolla we...More

Food was good - recommend the guac and the 3-taco entree. The room set up (concrete floor, hard chairs) and loud music give it a hustle-bustle feel like they want to quickly turn over tables. This is not a stay-a-while and relax dinner location.

This Mexican restaurant has creative and delicious Mexican based food that will surprise you with its special hand made cuisine. Everything is on the spicy side, so not suitable for small kids, though.

The food was a little to "creative" for us. There was no regular salsa to speak of. I had chicken tacos that were really really good. Hubby had a fillet mignon taco which he enjoyed as well. There wasn't really anything else on the menu...More

You can have it any way you like, i.e., you can sit at a table inside or outside (cafe style), sit at the bar, sit at a pub-counter top looking out into the street. Very inviting. Look for specials for this restaurant on... More
