We had breakfast here one morning. Food was reasonable and overpriced, but there was a whiff of sea lions as well. We went along one night for dinner, but were put off by the very average singer they had on. We go to a restaurant to talk, not to shout to each other, so we went elsewhere. Michael, Nottingham

We ordered the Fish & Chips and Lobster Roll. Lobster Roll was the best of the two. Fish needs to be a bit more seasoned. Nonetheless, we were happy with both meals.

The day I found Cody's they closed before I got back for a late lunch. Eventually I managed to get back during business hours. They close at 3:00pm. I was drawn in by the French Toast on the menu. I had had some at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club that was fantastic and I wanted to compare. I... More

Cody's is a small establishment with a quaint atmosphere. You can see the ocean from the outside seating area. The service was good. We enjoyed breakfast there on a Monday morning and were seated right away. The chicken and biscuits were delicious (not your regular southern biscuit more of a corn meal flavor-yummy). We went back to try the lobster... More

Great breakfast! Fresh fruit and awesome egg dishes and French toast. Beautiful patio to observe nearby park and beach, great service, and close to historic hotels ( grand colonial, Valencia...). Bacon and cheddar omelette terrific. Late afternoon the place was hopping as well.

I love the food and the view of the ocean. The food is great, the service is always good . The tables outside a little crowded but the view is worth it!
