GREAT FOOD. Basic fare that is filling and delicious. Good portions at a reasonable price. A good place to stopover between Sacramento and Portland

We decided to stop here at Pollart Flat and have a quick bite to eat. My patty melt was one of the best I've ever had! Typical diner food but really good.

This used to be our favorite spot at Shasta Lake to eat. Sadly, it has gone downhill. We ordered a tuna melt and it was a weird brownish tuna meat with little cheese. The smell was strange so it went uneaten. My 3 friends didn't like their food either. One said he poked his head in the kitchen accidentally trying... More

Great truck stop diner breakfast, served fast and reasonable price. Nothing fancy, but better than a boring chain restaurant..

I’m sure the cooks here have many goals and passions, but one of them must be making the best pies humanly possible. To me, it rivals Marie Callendar’s best efforts. And that’s Marie’s main business. One of the cook’s husbands brags about his wife’s pies that at first I dismissed as biased loyalty. I’m so glad to report that the... More

I was traveling by myself and my car was overheating, so I was driving w/o air cond. in 105 degree heat. (I had checked the coolant level before I left S.F. and had receptacle of coolant in my car) I had to stop to let the radiator cool off several times and pulled into this place to get a cold... They are not open on Sun! And we were running with about a quarter of a gallon of gas! Luckily they were inside doing some work with a new fire suppression system and turned on a pump. Saved. Their restaurant was closed also but they were making coffee for a truckers religious service in the parking lot and we were... More

Eveny once in a while you stop when travelling, seeking only a sandwich and coffee and wind up coming away with far more than that. You arrive a stranger and leave having made new friends, you arrive hungry and leave well satisfied. Pollard Flats Food and Fuel is one of those places. Corporate chains like Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans... More
