This restaurant serves a number of items, but I stick with the crunchy tacos, and an order (or two) of their chips and cheese creation. I can only guess at the cheese mixture they utilize in order to bring the great taste to the chips and cheese platter, but whatever it is, they struck gold with their choice. The tacos,... More

My Wife, Grandson and I decided to have some Mexican food on a Sunday afternoon. We headed to a local restaurant in Lawndale. Leo's has been a neighborhood favorite for many decades and for good reason. The varied menu has been consistently good all this time and the place is nice yet casual. There is an outdoor patio which is... More

Do not go here. I went to Leo's for the first time expecting that homey feeling of a traditional mexcian food restaurant. I have been searching for a place like this ever since my move to the south bay. Leo's does not have it. My group was sat in the back seating area and the restaurant was not busy. It... More

Old school since 1948, but they moved into this building in 1976. I came here for a quick lunch and that's exactly what I received. They do not offer lunch specials but some items are reasonably priced. I ordered the Chili Verde Burrito and an horchata. They bring out good tasting chips with generic tomato salsa, I requested the hottest... More

Leo's is consistently good. I have been going to Leo's for over 30 years. Always worth the trip from the OC.

I love authentic Mexican food. The problem is that I live on the East Coast where almost all of our "Mexican" restaurants don't serve true Mexican cuisine. At the end of my last visit to California, my sister-in-law took us to Leo's for our last Mexican meal before flying home. The food was incredible. My taquitos were served fresh and... More

Ordered Chile Relleno and beef tamale. Waiters very attentive. Provided numerous refills of super crispy tortilla chips and salsa. Meal came with refried beans and rice. Not overly spicy so was just to my liking. Parking behind restaurant.

I go here all the time. My husband does not care for Mexican food but also loves this place ! Try the Leo's Super burrito wet with Green sauce! Their rice and shredded beef crunchy taco are really good too! I highly recommend Leo's
