The restaurant has a very comfortable ambiance with a fantastic view of Mono Lake. Excellent food and service. Not cheap but worth every penny.

It's the best place to eat east of the Bay Area. The food and service was excellent and the view - divine. I had dinner there on my 60th birthday and was glad I did.

Not a lot of options in Lee Vining for overnight accommodations. The Mono Inn was charming and had a nice view of Mono Lake. The staff was friendly. I thought the price was high for the accommodations but happy to find a place to stay in Lee Vining.

I dined at the Mono Inn twice during a weekend visit in Oct. 2016. My first dinner was grilled Branzino (white fish) with a delicious sauce. The wine accompanying my meal which was suggested by the waitress was an excellent pairing. I had to go back for another meal. I selected Bison short ribs which were lean, very tender and... More

The Mono Inn would be competitive in a large city and it's a surprise to find such good food and service in such a backwater town. We're quite surprised it isn't considered the #1 restaurant in Lee Vining, but guess its upscale menu and pricing aren't attractive to the locals and tourists. We were seated and served by one of... The Mono Inn is where you go if you're in the area and want to spend a relaxing evening in a friendly place with good food. It's the kind of place where you strike up a conversation with your neighbors and aren't in any rush to leave when you've finished your meal. If it's still light out take ten minutes... More

We always like to visit this restaurant when we're in the area, so were interested to see if a change in ownership since our last visit had significantly changed the place. Unfortunately it had and for the worse e.g. only two waitresses trying to greet/seat customers, cover the bar, take orders, serve drinks and bring out the food. Maybe the... More

This is the second year in a row we joined our dear friends for a weekend of hiking and dining near Lee Vining. After several decades of visiting the Sierras camping gets old but not the hikes and views. So we two couples like our nice dinner with a view and good food. This is roughing it. This is grilled... A beautiful view of Mono Lake sets the stage for a good meal at the Mono Inn. I had the brussel sprouts, Tri tips and Apple pie. Service was good as was the meal.

Not up to the standards of their prices. The soup was good and the salad and venison meat loaf, the mussels were terrible. Service was good and they have a lovely view of the lake. We were told we could not have the tables by the window because they were "reserved" but no one sat on them. Not a lot... More
