We had avgolemeno soup (good but not great), very good creamy dolmatis (stuffed grape leaves), spanakopita (feta cheese stuffed dough) and lamb souvlaki (a bit over cooked). Nice atmosphere and good service.

Recent visit was major disappointment. Couple years back gave it 4 stars, revised as 2 stars. Ordered the lamb souvlake pita ($13.75) and the few pieces of lamb in it were overcooked. Girlfriend ordered the beef souvlaki only (just meat, nothing else) for $9.25. Beef was good and tender but overpriced (very small portion too). Were there just after they... More

Took the family on my daughter's recommendation, Service quick, food good and lots of it ( so come hungry) I had the chicken and it was good, only a fair wine list.

Having been to Greece five times, I am a big fan of the hospitality of the Greeks and their lamb dishes. George's on the shore creates the Taverna ambience, demonstrates the welcoming Greek hospitality and serves very good lamb. If you sit at a table on the very small patio, you can enjoy the passing crowd as well as a... More

I will admit that we tend to eat George's more as take out than eat in, but either way it's amazing food. Always fresh and delicious. The Belmont Shore location is always lively and upbeat. The owners are wonderful people and make you feel like family.

The Gyro and greek salad combo is perfect and really filling. Come on a Friday and you have to try the Kleftico...slow cooked lamb...so delicious!

Over the years we have eaten here and at the Lakewood Restaurant. We have always been very pleased. This time we ordered six lamb chops and for $3.00 extra they split the order into two parts. The plate came with three lamb chops each and VERY LARGE portions of the rice and French Fries. The food was exceptional and the... More

We stopped for a late lunch, and asked to be seated inside. The street noise from 2nd Street is enough that carrying on a conversation is nearly impossible, and this was true even when seated at the closest table to the entry that we were given. We asked for a table farther within the restaurant and were told the other... More

George's Greek Cafe welcomes you to "a little piece of Greece in Southern California." Our family-owned business is here to provide you with high quality food, craft cocktails, and an authentic Greek dining experience. Our restaurant has remained a favorite among the locals for one reason: we never compromise on our promise to provide fresh and delicious meals in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We continue to follow Mama Rodou's recipes, which were passed down to her from her grandmother. We use only the finest imported ingredients, such as first cold pressed extra virgin olive oil from Greece and premium, hormone-free, grass-fed lamb from New Zealand. We want to extend an open invitation to you to dine at one of our restaurants. Whether you're looking to impress a date with an intimate wine tasting, reconnecting with family over Saganaki Flaming Cheese and lamb chops, or planning the perfect wedding reception for 500 of your closest friends, we are here for you. Come in, and feel like part of the family. OPA!
