The first time my friend took me to lunch at Taix I had no idea what to expect and so the entry from valet parking lot thru large doors into a series of dark wooded rooms was a delight coming in from the bright California...More

I had not eaten at Taix for 40 years; yes since the 1970’s. But we were invited as part of a reunion of our relatives. It was my wife’s first experience at Taix and we were not disappointed. Of course the soup was outstanding as...More

I love Taix...( it's prononced "Tex") it's so comforting sitting in the carpeted bar drinking martinis with olives and ordering food off the menu while sitting in upholstered chairs with arms that are on wheels. You dine on round tables with placemats and baskets of...More

As someone who enjoys international cuisine, French is somewhat of a rarity, even in a place such as Los Angeles. Upon discovering Taix, I was not disappointed by its charming image, both outside and the interior, fancy, yet not overblown to discourage the non-wealthy. When...More

For three generations my family has gone to Taix. It offers a wide selection of classic French dishes, decent wines, and a strong sense of earlier times. A "faded rpse" in many ways, but still worth regular returns.

Impeccable duck a'lorange and great aged steaks. Romantic atmosphere and old school décor that has not changed over the decades. Used as a location in madmen because it still looks like its the 1950s in there. Love the food and service here!!
