the frase " phriends dont let phriends drink at starbucks" had Demitasse in mind. Coffee slow to be made but worth the wait. Added "Yuzu' macaron, also delicious

Don't expect to find cheap and inexpensive coffee here, because as everyone knows you get what you pay for. Any coffee freak should stop by for a cup of their favorite drink if they are in the Little Tokyo area of downtown. When we are in the area we skip the Starbucks and we get our high here.

Great little location downtown LA. I worked there a few mornings, and loved the excellent coffee. I'm picky when it comes to croissant (comes with the territory when you're French), and I loved theirs. Highly recommended

Refreshing place with exotic brands of coffee. Please do not go here and order a regular coffee- be bold, try something different. Great place for a pit-stop if you find yourself exploring downtown Los Angeles. In fact, walk over to Marukai Supermarket and grab something to eat, then stop in Demitasse for that exotic coffee. Good internet connection and comfortable... More

I haven't found a better coffee shop yet! The milk is organic (and the best for lattes). The pastries are superb, if you're lucky enough to get one. They frequently sell out. There is a fantastic crew of baristas with top notch customer service and fun personalities. This place is bringing coffee up a few notches in an industry that... More

This Coffee and Tea shop is located across the street from Little Tokyo. Some might say it's in Little Tokyo and I guess you would say yes. The shop has a lounge-like atmosphere and serves terrific coffee & teas! Inside there are 6-8 bar seats at the counter and a couple benches along the walls. There are approximately 4-5 tables... If you like artisan coffee like us you will like this place the coffee was smooth and full of flavour having said that I was not in love with the cappuccino that tasted a bit burnt other than that I've had a great experience with coffee at this location. I usually order a Chai latte which they brew from the... More

Coffee in America is certainly not as good as it is in Europe! However when I found this place in Los Angeles I fell in love with it! They offer very unique coffee with exceptional cookies!

I have wanted to visit Demitasse for the past year and finally had the opportunity. I enjoyed what I would consider the best cafe mocha beverage (iced) that I have ever had. The chocolate flavor perfectly complemented the roast coffee flavor and both were apparent. I look forward to the next time I am in LA and can enjoy another... More

Stopped in early this morning by chance to grab a quick coffee and ended up staying for an hour. Let me start by saying, if you want a cheap cup of coffee, go to the donut shop. The Barista not only made a very good coffee but she was friendly and knowledgable. It was early so the cafe wasnʻt so... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
