With the same menu as their China Town location you would think it's the same? I don't know if it's the more coffee shop environment of this location or a chef that isn't quite the original? That being said it's still one of the best Chinese restaurants n Pasadena! From Slippery Shrimp to Moo Shoo it's very good.

I've visited Yang Chow sporadically over a 20 year period because I don't live in the valley. When I happened to be in the area, I couldn't help by stop by. First of all, this is one of the most decorated restaurants in terms of a Mandarin & Szechwan cuisine in the entire valley; everyone loves them. The owners are... More

Great food and the portions are large. Share a dinner plate. Our favorite was the scallops in black bean sauce.

This restaurant has been around for many years. They also have a branch in Chinatown in Downtown Los Angeles. The slippery Shrimp is the star of the show at this restaurant, but you cant go wrong with any dish here. The food is fresh and tasty. Service is very good. The dining area is one big box of a room,... More

five people with tendency to order vegetarian dishes. found a variety of good delights. service friendly and prompt. moo shu served already in the pancakes, which is different, but not bad. they did not hold back on the spices, which is really nice. would return. location very convenient, across from Topanga Plaza, one of the better malls in the region.

Usually we look forward to Yang Chow's fare, but lately, we have been disappointed in the quality of their foods. It may just be us, but since last June, the taste and the texture of their food has deteriorated. Perhaps it is a change of chefs; we don't know., All we know is that we will have to really be... this is a very americanized Chinese restaurant. all the stereotyped dishes from moo shoo pork to beef and broccoli, and from kung pao chicken to sweet & sour pork. nothing interesting. service varies greatly, from excellent down thru mediocre to sneering. i gave up on this place after three tries.

My last visit to Yang Chow was not as good as the ones in the past. The interior needs to be upgraded and the food needs more attention.

Long time customer, usually go to one in Chinatown Los Angeles, but this was just as awesome. Love the Wonton Soup and Pan Fried Noodles. Tried the sautéed shrimp this time and it was very good, plate full of shrimp, nothing else, just shrimp. You must go here if you like Chinese food.
