The food is okay, and the portion sizes are good, but there's nothing about it to justify the high prices. We paid $11.50 for a chicken salad sandwich and $17.25 for a curry chicken salad. If we'd ordered the lean pastrami sandwich, it would have been $20.50. On the breakfast menu, lox and cream cheese on a bagel is $19.25.... More

Wow...only in LA where 3 breakfasts will cost $50+! There is NOTHING on the menu for less than $10--and most item are well over $12 each. Attentive staff hover and take your order. You do get overly LARGE portions, but who needs a ton of french toast to take home? Small Orange Juice is $5, French Toast is $12.95...unbelievable! There... More

This has got to be the WORST deli in LA The food is terrible and the prices are ridiculous. It would have been better if they closed them all

Some of our dishes were a little cold. Our order took a while to arrive at the table and the restaurant wasn't very busy. Our food was mediocre. I was really disappointed with this visit, especially because it was a family get together.

Two bad experiences. One, the chicken soup to go was pure salt. Next, last night I had a craving for pastrami with a "smear" of chopped liver. Ordered on the phone , which was not easy, they said it came with Potato salad and cole slaw. They asked if I wanted onions on the sandwich, I said ok. Picked it... More

I would say that Jerry's is not the number one Deli in LA. It the number one deli if you are looking not to be rushed to finish your breakfast or lunch. For me it is the number one place to meet someone for a long conversation without feeling that they would like you to leave and make the table... More

I love the American delis you see in movies and this is the perfect example of that. Had great cheese/ bacon toastie, fries coleslaw. Sitting at the bar where the waitress calls you sweetie and fills your coffee cup as you sit there pretending your in a movie. How sad am I.

I took my wife to Jerry's Famous Deli as it is a place I went to as a kid. I remember it being very good. It was Sunday, July 31st at 1:30 PM.I thought it was unusual that it was so empty on a Sunday afternoon. The people were very nice and the location was clean and enjoyable. The meal... More

Had a wonderful lunch with my wife. She had an omelet with cottage cheese and toast, while I had the Super Ruben with corned beef and pastrami and Swiss on rye. Service was great despite the fact that it was during the lunch rush. This is one of the best delis I've ever been to, they have everything to could... More

We stopped here for a late night sandwich. Jerry's Famous is still the best place to go late at night. The food is good deli food and both the chopped chicken liver and Reuben were good choices. The sandwiches were huge. Unfortunately the service was slow perhaps because it was late. It took awhile for our food to arrive and... More
