The food is good and the view also, but the waitress (a blond and blue eyed one that stays on the front) is totally rude and crazy. I can't go back to a place that treats people so bad!

We stopped here twice for breakfast with our kids. Couldn't fault it, the place was super-busy but the food came in good time, the staff were all attentive, but not too in-your-face. It's definitely worth waiting for a window table, it's a great spot for watching the characters go past.

We had 10 people all ordering different things. The service was fast and everyone commented on how delicious their food was. I had the fish tacos and they were really great! The view is also wonderful, you can people watch, but also see the ocean and enjoy the boardwalk atmosphere.

This little place was packed at different times, indicating how good they actually are. They have a large selection which most people would find something they like. Can be breezy if you sit near the edge.

This place has been a fantastic spot for lunch and some serious people-watching for decades! Terrific place to rest up a bit when doing the Venice boardwalk tourist thing; food is good (menu is quite diverse now, but we always go for their burgers) and the place is a clean and peaceful vantage point amidst the chaos of Venice Beach.... We were staying nearby and ate breakfast here our first morning. We were very satisfied with a full breakfast, which was exactly what we wanted. Eggs, bacon, home fries, toast and lots of good coffee. Breakfast kept us going for our walk along the boardwalk and beach. The next morning we wandered around looking for another good breakfast and wished... More

This little spot looks rough from the outside on the Venice boardwalk however had clean bathrooms, great friendly service and yummy breakfast. Enjoyed the quick pop in at the bar and of course the quality people watching ! Must see

Stopped for lunch after walking from Santa Monica Pier. Staff was very attentive. Portions were very large, but it was somewhat expensive - $17 for a salad. Although it was a HUGE chef salad. Couldn't eat all of it. Great location for people watching.

The restaurant is placed at an amazing location, you can literally look out at the beach while you eat. The service was good. They allowed dogs in which was cute. The cafe area is all based outside with plastic covering so was a bit chilly but they did have heaters. The food was average. I ordered ravioli pasta but only... More

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
