Open 24 hours, serves breakfast 24 hours a day. We were in need of a late casual dinner in the Fairfax area last night and dropped into Canter's. It is almost like time stopped 50 years ago in this diner. The food was great and the prices were reasonable, service was great too. We had Matzo Ball soup, Bacon Caesar... More

Impossible to shock this place with any obscure food requests and a very competent delivery. Helpful staff and delicous food. Excellent for brunch

Most LA landmarks I try, I think "Really?" But this is the real deal. Canter's Deli has everything for the deli experience. I am sure New Yorkers roll their eyes and say there is better around the corner from their apartment, but for this Southern Californian, it's good food.

Our annual half-way-around-the-world stop off in Los Angeles ALWAYS includes at least one visit to Canter's Deli. A long-ish walk from the Farmer's Market area and not the most attractive location in Los Angeles, it is still a must-do for the best in Delicatessan food on the West Coast. Giant corned beef (and anything else you order) sandwiches which really... More

Delicious food! Ordered an omelette with onions, feta cheese & spinach & asked them to make it very well done which they did & it was perfect! Liked the onion bagel too! Their pastries are very good too!

Canter's is the ultimate west coast deli experience. The history, the food, the atmosphere...all amazing. Just writing this really makes me want to go get a hot pastrami.

So old, but still so good. Service was ok, could be better, but the sandwich was great. Watch out for parking, the police give tickets, and the neighborhood is getting worse.

I have been eating at this restaurant since the mid-1960s when I would drive from 20th Century Fox Studios during lunch hour for a GREAT PASTRAMI which I couldn't find at the Studio's Commissary and then rush back to the Sound Stage.

Having been to Canter's before, I knew what to expect it when I came in. When you walk into Canter's you are greeted by amazing looking pastries. While much of LA is about what is trendy Canters is a classic. I had the pastrami ruben, it did not disappoint, one of the best rubens I've ever had. The best part... More
