Arrived around 8:15 on a Monday morning while in town for a convention. There was a short line outside which moved quickly. No menus at the table, only posted on walls. Cash only. Number 2 is a bargain - 2 eggs, potatoes and toast for around $6. Food was simple and tasty. Our waiter disappeared after our food was delivered.... More

good food decent price. was traveling on a budget so less expensive in the LA Live area was appreciated. If expecting 5 star dining forget it. Eclectic environment menu's on wall difficulty for those with multi focal lenses.

I've dined here many times over the years as it is a novelty in LA. I must say, I am always underwhelmed by the quality of the food. It is a total tourist joint, because its been on this corner for many, many years. I guess people line up here, because it's on the list for "Top 100 Things to... More

I have lived in LA for more than 30 years and never have been. May my expectations were higher than they should have been. But that being said the coffee was terrible. The hash browns were not even cooked on a griddle they were piled into a sautéed pan and were not crispy and tasted raw. The value for what... More

Wanted to experience authentic LA and this was the place! Loved the menu on the wall, were prepared with cash, and enjoyed wonderful breakfasts! Of special note: the buckwheat pancakes were delicious as was their salsa and sourdough toast!!!!! The 50 minute wait went by quickly and was totally worth it!!!

I have just returend from the pantry. All I can say, run as long as you can! I have tried a rib eye, thinking that should be no problem, something that you can eat pretty much all over the states. But I was worng. It was not only not salted or anything, it had a funny taste to it. Also... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
