Living in W. L.A. and having so many good restaurants to choose from, Shamshiri is the one that I have been going to the most for over 38 years. The food and service is excellent. The portions are large enough for 2 people. What should you order? Anything and everything on their menu...salads, stews, kabobs, etc., etc.! They are busy... More

Food was good.service was ok. But they charge for bread $4.95. Waiter brought the bread second time without asking me and i was charged $9.90 total for dry thin bread. I will not go there again and be carefull their bread price.

Service: Excellent waiter (Eduardo) and very attentive. There was no host/hostess though to greet you and get you seated. It seemed like you just need to walk in, be noticed, and wait until someone is free to help you. Unfortunate for a Westwood location especially for first timers dining in this very original branch (there's one in the valley and... More

The portions are very generous - some of our party got plates to share others got their own dish. The folks who got their ow dish took food home as the portions are huge - the chicken was flavorful and moist...they have several different varieties and the chicken shamishiri has a selection of two of their most popular The crispy... Enter through a secure gate into an open courtyard for warm weather seating to an enclosed warm dining room for the other times of the year. The decoration is traditional Indian with portraits of various yogis and other philosophers decorating the walls as well as tourist sites. The food is excellent, gheymeh dishes and various eggplant preparations.

Authentic Persian cuisine here. The specialty is a chicken type kabob thou not on a stick. The portions are generous. They are known for there stews and take off on Middle Eastern cuisine. They presented the table with cut radishes, mint leaves and raw red onion with toasted pita for everyone to enjoy. We had a great time.

Outstanding kebobs and appetizers, all well prepared, plus a number of Persian stews and specialties you don't find everywhere. Place can be noisy and crowded for dinner so arrive early if you like it quiet, or come for the excellent lunch menu, which includes very reasonably priced food bargains.

The food is over the top, went their twice with my family and ordered multiple dishes. The koobidehs are superb but don't shy away from the stews..... those are a hidden treasure! My favorites are the ones with sour grapes! The staff is lovely too. We had to dine there the last night of our stay in LA to remember... More

Very good Persian food. Portions of food are really generous. Lamb shank is the best. Bread made in house. Decent kabobs. Recommend this place.
