Met a friend here for lunch, she had the Chinese Chicken Salad and I had the Frisco. Both were good and the cornbread was excellent. Nice bar like atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

Last night after LACMA music, I had their $17 fish and chips. 3 pieces [1 thick, 2 thin] had too much batter and were fried so hard that I could not save this meal by peeling the batter off to eat much of the fish. Also, I yearn for the old Callender cornbread; the current style is too crumbly and... More

An ideal location, close to La Brea Tar Pits, to finish off the perfect day. Very well decorated in an old fashioned design. Food, service, location could not be faulted. Easy to recommend!

Amazing place, old charm from the shoeshine area to the ornate bar & encompassing theater seating. Hollywood style & grace. We went to visit the museum & tar pits, had a fabulous dinner here. Daily specials during early hours before 8pm $ the food was excellent & topped it off with a tasty piece of pie ❤️ loved it! We... More

A friend and I enjoyed a simple lunch here - savoury food was yummy but the pies and ice cream were great. A pleasant, very helpful, waitress made us feel very comfortable.

A small group ( there were 8 of us ) of my classmates and I gathered together to enjoy each other's company. Let me say the food was very good, however, what spoiled our lunch was our waiter ( I do not know his name ). We hadn't even settled ourselves at our table when he put the menus down... More

Great location by the La Brea Tar Pits. Fun for a stroll after dinner. Easy parking in the rear. 20 years ago, this was THE place to be. On recent visits, however, the food has been only average and the service poor. Standard American food with a California flair. Lovely presentation and large portions. The servers we've had appear frenzied... More

Male waiters in vests, great service, great food, best tuna melt on the planet according to my son. I'm in love with the decor and wish this restaurant wasn't so far way from my home.

So good, price is good, great portion I couldn't finish it so I had to box it. I had the rest of my tacos for dinner 😀. I will definitely stop by... More
