On of the few Egyptian restaurants that is still keeping its service and nice atmosphere. There are outdoors and indoor seating, in the weekend the indoor requires reservation. Because they usually have live music and belly dancers in the weekend. Their food is averag, but the service and the atmosphere is a plus. They have nice hookah.

This place is great all day long. Breakfast is special with fresh breads and pastries and interesting entrees. Dinner is terrific with a creative menu based on very healthy and delicious fare. Great buzzy atmosphere and friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff make this a great choice. Expensive but worth it!

I passed by Rose in the afternoon and had a coffee: very nice atmosphere, very relaxed, attentive waiters, stylish. I came back with my family later for dinner. We had a burger, a chicken sandwich, and plain noodles for the kid. Both mains were close to inedible. Especially the chicken was dreadful. Fast food at a premium price! While coffee... More

I was expecting to love the Rose Cafe & as soon as we arrived I knew we were really going to love Rose Cafe! Everything from the vibe of the room, the decor, friendly waitstaff, amazing food & drinks was fabulous. The music playing was also an absolute bonus - 1 track after another of songs we loved. Such a... More

On April 30th I went to Rose Cafe with 5 friends, we were told our table was ready twice and then they made a mistake, that it was not ready...though being the patient group we are, we rolled with it. However the worst of all was the food and service experience. My boyfriend and I each ordered an Aperol Sprtiz... More

As soon as we walked in the door we knew it was going to be good. The display of muffins, cookies, and other sweets was amazing. As we walked to our table you can see the impeccably clean kitchen. The Brioche French Toast is a HUGE chunk of bread cooked perfectly with a mound of creme fresh served with maple... More

We dined at this restaurant our first night in Venice. It was a short walk from where we were staying and was recommended by front desk personnel. We mentioned to the restaurant staff that we were quite tired after our cross country flight, and were allowed in a bit before they opened for dinner so that we could sit down--which... More

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
