Room and hall way badly in need of updating, nothing like photos. Reception staff not friendly, could not care, rude. Shuttle bus driver hides so he does not have to take you even though you have booked. The put food from room service on your bill even though you have not ordered anything, and then they are rude and argue... More

great service and huge portions the menu was very varied. We tried both the room service for supper and in the restaurant for breakfast.

The Diner at SL hotel is awesome, kind of a historic place, due to the fact that way back when, this was the hang for musicians and actors. Many celebrities are at the walls today. All American breakfast in a super way. High quality all the way. A great place that I have eaten breakfast, probably more than a hundred... More

We are about to check out after a 3 night stay. We booked 2 rooms, one for us and another for our 3 daughters. We were originally given rooms in different buildings, but they changed this, putting us in a room next to the lift. We were warned about the lift noise, but took it to be close to our... More

I'm sure that many people will read the reviews by people who thought the Sportsman was a bit noisy with paper thin walls. Well it was full of college students on our visit and yes the wall were a bit thin BUT the beds were comfortable and the accommodations while showing its age was well maintained. The most important thing... More

Stayed here the 2nd time earlier this month approximately a year after our first stay. Upgraded to pool access rooms due some mix up with our reservation but this was resolved smoothly and easily by the excellent reception staff. Didn't use the cafe or bar this time, choosing instead to explore the restaurants and bars in the locality. Rooms comfortable... More

paper thin walls between rooms - can hear every word spoken on both sides -even when conversation level volume. hallway walls marked and dirty. carpeting the ugliest colors ever seen - dark and dingy. nerve to charge to use computer to get and print airline boarding passes. $14 day to park - rip off. many pool lounges are torn and... The best thing about this place is the staff. They are so friendly and obliging. The pool is great, but get's crowded at the weekends. The beds are extremely comfortable (thank goodness, because I had read a review to the contrary). Having a pool access room is a bonus. You have a nice secluded terrace, but you're straight out to... Everyone was super friendly and very helpful on giving us tips on how to navigate the city. They offer a free shuttle to Universal Studios three different times in the morning and three different times for pickup in the afternoon/evening. Always on time. The café had great food and you receive large portions for the price. The pool was fabulous... More

There are some nearby places that would be better than room service. Take a walk and adventure out. I ordered both dinner and breakfast and it was disappointing.
