Every item I tried at Izaka-ya was outstanding! The toro was so fresh and worth the price! It's great sushi at a more affordable price than some of its competitors. And it's in a great location. Very hip and fun! Reservations are recommended! It was packed when we arrived- after eating there I can see why!!!

We built our own 9 course tasting menu in three flights. Shrimp shumai Shishito peppers Tofu with soy Three sushi Halibut with lemon and salt Anago eel Horse mackerel Tempura mozzarella with crab Kabocha pumpkin Tempura vegetable Paired with red ale. We only scratched the surface of an elegant and broad menu. Love this place

Nice selection of typical izakaya foods, with friendly service. The sake selection was a bit limited.

I think we ordered one of everything on the menu! The quality of fish at Izaka-ya is top notch. Pair it with a sake flight for the perfect combination. You're going to wish you had a bigger table when everything comes. I would definitely return to Izaka-ya on my next trip to LA

Big lunch crowd drew us to this izakaya style restaurant. Was satisfied with some of menu items which proved to be "different". This is a modern izakaya, not the traditional izakaya, with some influence, I dare say, other than Japanese. Overall, interesting, different, and tasty.

You have to make a reservation and keep to the given time ! This restaurant is so popular that our 6 pm seating was completely full ! The service was excellent , as was the sushi and our children were delighted with the desserts !

Try seafood tajine! It went perfectly well with sake. And better to get reservation because this place is busy all the time.

This place is usually busy. It has good food, good service and isn't expensive. It isn't fancy, however, you know what you are getting and it is consistent.
