Having lived in Los Feliz for over ten years I (and all the locals) fell in love with Tropicalia. Whenever I visit Los Angeles now, I look for excuses to go back. This time was no exception. The Chicken Tropicalia, the Tropicalia salad and the vegetarian platter were always my favorite (and still look fabulous -- since I could only... More

I've been wanting to try their food every time we pass by the restaurant but it was hot and did not want to look for parking. My daughter ordered the Brazilburger $12.50 and I ordered the Seafood Fajita $18. Both were unforgettable! I just took a bite of her burger and I was impressed how tasty and my daughter says... I love it when I discover little "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants like this. You might drive right by it on your way to see the sights in L.A., but STOP! It's worth the trip. Delicious Brazilian fare, in a light, friendly atmosphere. I had the vegetarian sampler, which gave me a chance to try everything from black beans and rice to fried... More

Terrible food, terrible owner! Low quality and overpriced. I am Brazilian and I am from the region where the moqueca de peixe, the fish dish comes from, and I have no idea what it is they are selling with the name of moqueca . The fish was hard and not fresh, I tried eating it but I couldn't. When I talked... More

This is a great place to try out some Brazilian food. Service is always good and fast. The place is rather small but we went early so there was no wait. We had the ceviche for our appetizer and it was excellent! I also had the Chicken Tropicalia Molhado, which is one of the restaurant's specialties. The chicken was good... More

We come here for Sunday lunch every couple weeks. The Tropicalia Chopped Salad is amazing. The other dishes are great and the staff makes us feel very welcome.

This restaurant is in the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles. It is a welcome diversion from the hectic urban feel of Hollywood. We have never had Brazilian food before. We started with the ceviche, which was excellent. It is a generous portion, and I would advise sharing one serving if you are going to order an entree. If you've... More

I can't say enough good things about this place; it has truly become one of my top favorite places in LA. The food is fresh and the plates are huge. What to order: empandas to start, Tropicalia beef with rice and beans or Tropicalia salad with beef for the entree, extra order of plantains for dessert, and don't forget the... More
