My husband and I love love this place. High end quality!!!!! The fish is very fresh. The rice is also perfect. They do very good lunch specials. Great value! The fresh water eel is awesome. It's warm but not dry. Super yummy. Even a simple roll has good quality. Staff is very nice. They make all dishes fresh. Heaven for... More

Really good sushi in a no frills setting, a mall. Super fresh and beautifully cut. Our favorite space for sushi in the LA basin. Afterwards you get to shop for all those $1.50 Japanese essentials from Daiso. Bring a big shopping bag.

One of our Board Members suggested we discuss matters over a sushi dinner in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. It was my first time to that Little Tokyo shopping center with 3 floors of shops and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and freshness of the sashimi and sushi. That was a must for us. The waitress was... More

There''s a problem with this place. A big one. After eating here most other sushi restaurants will be seen in comparison to it, and the comparison won't be good. This is the best. Authentic. Super fresh. Artfully prepared and super delicious. Like others have said, the location might turn you away, but don't let it. Just please, don't come on... More

Right next to little Tokyo and Japanese village so the options for a good meal here are wide. This place is small and hidden, doesn't look fancy, but this is as real as sushi can get. The fresh ingredients were incredibly good and the service terrific. You'll also taste the complimentary green tea ice cream. I would still walk after... More

Don't let the hiding-in-plain-sight location in the mall deceive you: Sushi Go 55 is still serving some of the best sushi in a city full of mediocre and overpriced restaurants. It's a small, family-owned place where the menu is tattered and the decor is needing an update. At Sushi Go 55, sushi chefs skillfully prepare incredibly fresh fish properly and... More

This restaurant is inside the Tokyo market place, I've been in the mall so many times and visited Honda-ya next door and somehow never even considered coming here. It's very plain looking, minimal decorations. Good sushi at a good value but nothing spectacular.

Family owned, this remains one of the best sushi places in Los Angeles. The sushi chef here is old school--the freshest fish prepared with care and consistency. Prices are reasonable, particularly given the quality. The waitresses are the most attentive I have ever experienced. The place is small so make a reservation.

Had lunch here today. The chirashi sushi is their specialty. The sushi was fresh, delicious and succulent. What more can be said. One bite brought me back to Japan, where the quality of food is very high.
