While the food was good--albeit not gourmet--and then again, that is not why you would be at a restaurant in the middle of Manetca, California. The appeal of this cafe is the people who work there. The were friendly, helpful, and for a group of out-of-towners made us feel welcome. The menu was extensive and the portions served were large---the... More

Recently had breakfast here. It was just OK, sorta typical "greasy spoon". If you like big portions you'll like this place. Service was excellent.

I discovered the Mangy Moose Cafe almost two years ago and have continued to return there whenever I'm in Manteca. It's a wonderful place to have breakfast or lunch. Good variety on the menu. Food is prepared to your specific order and served hot. Your coffee cup never seems to be empty. The owner personal greets the customers and thanks... More

Someone told us this place had good breakfasts......they were right! I had a half size portion of an omelet served with hash browns and a pancake "as my toast". The portions are huge....and delicious! I took half of mine home. The restaurant is long and narrow with 3 tables at the rear and 1 at the front window. Service was... More

My kind of place! Great breakfast, delicious homemade salsa. Small but very cozy and friendly. On the main street going out of town to Yosemite.

Holy cow! We thought we'd visit the Mangy Moose Cafe in Manteca since we have one in Priest River, Idaho. They put our mangy moose to shame! The food is reasonably priced. And the flavor? Oh emm gee! They absolutely take care of their guests and talk to you as if you are a regular. This place is amazing, you... More

Mangy Moose is a good place for breakfast. My son used to live a block away and ate here all the time, so I suppose you could call it a family tradition. The restaurant is long and narrow. There's enough room for a counter, a walkway and the space behind the counter. There is also a table or two in... More

Ok, the name was what attracted me... And the venue is a tiny shotgun room, counter, and three small tables, one in front, two behind wall in back... Parking is in back thru back door, or on the busy street out front... I'm still gonna go with a very good, because my brother, the birthday boy, thought the "Teton Special",... More

I came here for a daddy-daughter breakfast when the rest of the family was otherwise occupied. I don't do breakfast very often and wanted to try somewhere new. We came in through the back door and were lucky to get a table on a Saturday as the place was packed. The decor was fun with lots of interesting wall decorations... More
