I have eaten in and taken out from Tajrish. The service is incredible and the food is always properly cooked, wonderful and in generous portions. Walking distance to the Hilton Gardens Inn and the Marriott. It takes a while to get a take out meal so order in advance if you're in a hurry. Food is worth the wait!

The best dolmades this side of the Bosporus and great lamb. If you have even a mildly adventurous palate, eating here will be the best decision that you will make about eating this week.

One of the people in our group had allergy issues and the waitress understood and brought out delicious food that completely conformed to the requirements needed. The food for the other members of the group was also delicious.

I stumbled across the Tajrish Restaurant while on our way to Venice Beach. It was nice to try amazing Persian cuisine and there is so much more to it. If you haven't tried Persian cuisine before, give this place a shot and you wouldn't regret!

Spotted Tajrish Restaurant on our walk from Hilton Garden Hotel towards Venice Beach. Located on a small parade of eateries, there's a smallish dining room and an inviting Menu. We selected Chicken Barg Kabob - Thick, juicy, well-cooked and tasty strips of chicken served with half-Basmati rice and salad, and Beef Koobideh -Very lean beef skewers served on salad. 2... More

My husband and I stopped at this jewel last night on our way to LAX. It is hidden in a small strip mall on Washington, with several other restaurants. It is kind of hidden away. You could easily miss it if you are not paying attention. The place is small and intimate, decorated simply, but interestingly. Old photos of Tehran... More

We found this restaurant one evening while walking toward the beach and decided to stop in for dinner the next night. We were delighted. Both of our meals were delicious and the deserts wonderful. If you are up for a dining experience from another corner of the world, this would be the place.

We had a couple of the different kebabs here and they tasted nice but no better than others I've been to, hence the average rating, worth coming here for a change....

Our family at dinner Tajrish when we happened to be staying at a hotel in the area. It was a great meal with something for everyone. A simple Caesar salad, lamb kabob and rice provided familiar flavors for our picky eight year old son. My husband enjoyed the Tajrish dough, the best tabouli he's ever eaten, and the Fesenjan. The... Carbonated yogurt drink was interesting and refreshing. The main course dishes were well portioned, the wait staff could be a little more understanding of vegetarians, I believe they have the items on the menu but he did not do a good job of explaining them.

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
