I had the octopus which was delicious I strongly recommend it, I also had the Alaska king crabs as starter which where ok as they were small size and didn't taste as fresh as they should. On the other side, good wine and excellent service.

Although I live close by I haven't been to the restaurant for a couple of years because I thought it had lost it's luster. However, I recently went back from a group gathering and the food, service, atmosphere were exceptional. The menu had certainly changed, which might be due to a new chef, and even the wine selection seemed broader.... More

Hey Doug, While we are over the moon with your wonderful words on our behalf, truthfully the experience you speak of concerning our staff is most gratifying. We have indeed a new Chef, David Vilchez, and we have this still glorious perch on the marina, the staff has changed as the years go by. I am particularly proud of our... More

The location, the settings and the menu are impressive. If you like fresh seafood this place is for you. They also have options for those who prefer things other than seafood. They have a nice wine list, including their own label very reasonably priced. The service is very good, the presentation of the food is nice, but do not expect... More

Good food, but better to eat in the bar area. Great view of MDR beach and boat docks. Close to all MDR attractions as well as Venice and Abbot Kinney.

Thanks for the shout out of the bar. The fireplace is lit there, there is live music on the weekends there and we offer a lounge menu with some items in that happy hour pricing so that makes it a bargain altogether. Happy Valentine's Day! Brian More

Went for dinner with friends who are regular, the view on the Marina is super, I found the menu offerings very interesting, some unusual combinations but everything we ordered was tasty, hot and well presented. The octopus with squid ink and yogurt was delicious, so were the salmon and oxtail. Nice touch the vegetable carpaccio and warm focaccia with minced... More

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant since the 1990s, when we lived in Thousand Oaks and had to drive down the 101 and 405 to get there....it was always worth it! Now we live in Playa Vista and love it even more because it is minutes away! Dining out should be a special event, and it... More

Located on the marina, this restaurant is a lovely place to dine. Had a group dinner here for about 30 of us. The service was excellent and the food was topnotch. I ordered the filet medium rare on the rare side and our waiter suggested I order it rare "because they can always refire it." It actually came out perfectly... More

Went there for brunch. Sat at a table with an amazing view of the marina and had the 3-course brunch menu which included all you can drink sparkling wine, mimosas and/or bloody mary's. This is a preset menu where you can chose one starter, one entree, and one dessert. The food and service was good but what really set this... More

Request window seating. Very good wine list and attentive waitstaff, although it has a quirky atmosphere (like an old-school place trying to be hipster). Seafood appetizers and entrees for 2 were all very fresh and delicious.

Hello Adventuress854, Happy New Year!! Thanks for the kind words. And you are right we are quirky and aiming a little hipster. We are in a very foodie city (Los Angeles) with lots of creative people and wonderful product to work with. The mixology movement is big here as is craft beer. Basically artisan is the word and the movement... More
