A cut above the standard. Shoes must be removed at the entry and one than seats at a table that is recessed into the floor. Your feet are under the table and you sit on a seat cushion on the floor w table height appropriate. Large number of selections and we have had many with never one to disappoint. They... More

The food is about the same as ever, but the aggressive nature of the servers needs to be commented on. You are waited on quickly and that's good. If you are not ready to order they will circle back about once a minute. Very well. The food arrives quickly. From that point on, you feel like they are rushing you... More

I have eaten at Irori on several visits. Each time I look for something different off of the extensive menu. Nothing I've ever selected has been a disappointment from the soup, the sushi and sashimi to the tea to the teriyaki offerings - it's all good. From the minute you walk in, remove your shoes and are escorted to the... More

It is definitely an unassuming sushi place. I have never been to a sushi place that required you to take off your shoes and sit on the floor. However, the sushi was divine. It seemed a bit pricy overall, but I'm not from LA so it might be average or a bit above for all I know.

Year by year I go to Irori. Last year was a not so good experience with average food and average service. Seems it is losing the splendour of the past, though will go back soon to see if it was a coincidence and I can enjoy again a great sushi. Hope so

Loved the food! Very fresh and good presentation. The service was great too! We enjoyed the sitting on the floor environment. All together a great experience.

Very authentic setting as you sit on the floor. There is a cutout in the floor with tables recessed so you can comfortably sit on the floor with your legs and feet on the lower floor. The sushi as well as the cooked food was excellent, service was so, so but overall highly recommended.

Great sushi restaurant - atmospheric and genuine. Remove your shoes and sit eat the low-level tables to enjoy some very good lunchtime sushi.

Excellent Japanese food! Go early or book as it gets busy. The restaurant is small with an open kitchen and the ambience is great- small and friendly but with enough space between tables. You need to remove your shoes and sit on the floor which gives it a different feel. The staff were really efficient, friendly and polite, constantly refilling... More

We were visiting LA from Charlotte and looking for some quality sushi. We opted for this place because it was nearby and had pretty good reviews. We were tired and didn't want to wait 1.5 hours for Sugarfish. If you are a sushi connoisseur, avoid this place. The quality of the sushi is mediocre. We had salmon, uni, yellowtail, cali... More
