We had a table for nine for lunch, and had a wide selection of their seafood and received good service. The patio seating overlooks the bay, and the inside seating has good views through the large windows. The BBQ clams could be a little bigger and better flavor, and the clam chowder was not up to par. The raw clam... More

Arrived at Nick's, waited 20 minutes for a table, then were shown to window seating looking out on Tomales Bay. We each had 8 barbequed oysters, followed by salads:hers was kale and something, mine was avocado and little round orange fruit. About thirty minutes after we started eating, we notice the tide was going out. Then a man with a... More

The setting is perfect. We visited on a chilly Saturday in February. The food however is very ordinary. The clam chowder was bland and over priced--no oyster crackers or a sprig or parsley. Tasted like they started with a commercial soup base. The local oysters were excellent--should be at $4.00 a pop. The grilled sandwich was so butter soaked it... More

Stopped in Nick's on our drive North on Hwy 1. Luckily we were there at Sunset as it was beautiful overlooking the cove. We had the raw oysters and a trio of baked oysters. As much as I love raw oysters, I just say that the baked oysters are something I will crave. Another person at our table had the... More

On a short two day visit to Tomales Bay we went to Nick's Cove three times! First we ordered a glass of wine at the bar and enjoyed the beautiful day at a table at the end of the pier. That evening and the next, we returned for dinner. We were seated at window tables with a nice view of... More

After a 3 hour night kayak paddle with Point Reyes Outdoors looking at bio-luminescence in Tomales Bay, this was the perfect stop to refuel and reflect. Wood fires and heaters warmed our outsides while delicious drinks, fresh Tomales Bay oysters and tapas warmed our insides. A friendly and relaxing night spot after an amazing outdoor adventure!

I'd written Nick's off as a typical seafood tourist trap, but when planning my husband's birthday weekend I learned they had changed management, so I booked a sunset dinner. I had a great Bloody Mary. We shared the fried oyster mushroom app. Unfortunately I didn't get a feel for it because there were only three pieces of mushroom, one of... More

Stopped in on our way back to Bodega Bay from Point Reyes National Seashore. Wonderful service (our waiter was originally from a town in Wisconsin 30 minutes from where we live! My son had oysters for the first time, all the food was luscious. A couple of us had fish and chips, I had a cheddar burger. We shared a... More

Went for dinner with friends, and the food was awful, especially the oysters. Marshall store is way better!! Also had calamari and sauce was awful as well. Too bad, because the restaurant has a great vibe and atmosphere. I would only recommend going for drinks. That would be fun.
