A gem of a restaurant. I have eaten here many times. Great food, prepared quickly. Superb staff. Nice outdoor seating also.

I hadn't been in Merced in a number of years and just had to head to the Cinema Cafe. Lunch was almost over and they had started to put things away for the day. Our server said to sit wherever we wanted. I was thrilled they were not only still in business...but we had time to order and enjoy a... More
Good food-everything is homemade--great breakfast--good ole fashion sandwiches. You can eat inside (kinda cramped) or outside at a table under an umbrella. Very good service--nice people.
This place is small with the old time coffee shop feeling. Just to sit at the counter and watch the cooks work in their small and cramped space is something to see. The have the best breakfast in Merced. Don't miss it.
We discovered this place while on our way to Yosemite on a Saturday morning. We called them up, ordered scrambled eggs with potatoes, french toast and coffee, to-go and informed them of the time we would arrive. The lady packed everything up for us neatly and the food was just hot when we picked up. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast.
I never miss the chance to come here when I am in Merced visiting my daughter! This is my favorite place to eat. My husband and I went here again the other day for breakfast. As always the food was spectacular! No matter what you order I'm sure it will be great. It's one of Merced's best secrets that should be told to everyone.
This is a staple for the locals. Small, old, and a little off the beaten path. However the food is fantastic, service is very prompt, and price is very fair
Oh my goodness! Where do I start? This little cafe is a gem. Home cooking at its best. Open only for breakfast and lunch. We had breakfast. I had the banana pancakes and I am dreaming about going back and having them again. In fact, it is on our list to do again. You can either sit inside or enjoy... More
