Really nice food and really good staff! Portions are big and that is what you want after a day of hiking! Reasonably priced and I recommend taking the trail lunch with you, it is worth the money.

Worth a stop if you are on 140 by the Merced River betwixt Yosemite and Mariposa. Just a mile or so up 140 from the river, great secret swimming hole!

We had drove from Yosemite for about an hour to two hours when we arrived at the Rustic Bug. This cafe is situated in the middle of the camp and offers a wide variety of options from meat lovers to vegans (I'm a vegetarian). The food is okay for the price range of $8-15; however, your options are limited when... More

We visited the cafe whilst staying at Yosemite bug hotel. My wife and I both agreed that the meal we had at the cafe was the best meal we had whilst on our 16 day holiday.its all very laid back. You order at the counter, they bring your food, you clear your plates . After your meal lovely seating area... More

Kudos to the chef. Everything we tried was awesome and wholesome! My seared sesame seaweed ahituna was great!

Has vegan and vegetarian offering that are very good. Our daughter-in-law enjoyed the turkey cobb salad. My wife had a Greek salad which she described as wonderful. Our grandson had a burger which he enjoyed. June Bug offers that you can build your own sandwich and I had a roast beef which I had with onions, swiss cheer and yes... More

The quality of the food is very good. We had free range chicken, wild salmon and they were fresh and cooked perfectly, great breakfast selection too.

I tried a few different things from my family's plates, and they ranged from very tasty to bad. The menu changes often, so it would be interesting to go back.

The Bug is part of the Yosemite Bug Mountain Resort, but is a great place to stop just for dinner. Locals directed us here when we observed there were few places outside Yosemite to eat, and eating in Yosemite is either pricey or low quality or both. The Bug has a delightful setting in the woods. The menu was limited... More

The café has a great atmosphere (and games to play!) and the food is good – great range of breakfasts from muesli & fruit salad to heuvos rancheros; selection of evening meals and they will do packed lunches. Nice range of local beers as well. Veggie and vegan food options as well

Thank Chris W
