We read the reviews ,because we wanted sand dabs. They were delicious and lots of fish on our plates. Such a cute little place on Wharf 2. Not hard to find follow the signs and go down the stairs and ring the bell. FUN Service was excellent and the view was beautiful of the bay. Will come here again and... More

Loved, loved, loved this place from the bell you obnoxiously ring as you enter the door to the fact that you are right on the water, in addition the wait staff was excellent. We knew it was a good choice when there was not one seat at the bar. However, we were seated right away and the server was very... More

Had a great 'on the water' lunch here; fresh & tasty food (steamed artichoke, sand dabs...yummy!). Our friendly server, 'Kristina' added to our enjoyment. Park right on wharf nearby.

Stopped in with some friends for a bowl of clam chowder. Half the seating is along the windows with great views of the marina. The other seats still have a decent view of all the boats outside. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely return!

Very good seafood, fresh, fresh, fresh. The happy hour menu had a good selection and excellent prices. Very good service, I sat at the bar which was packed so service was a little slow but not bad. It looked like the folks dining at tables were getting super good service.

A nice location below the wharf level, with viewing of boats, seals, etc. The clam chowder was outstanding, not too salty, full of clams, and not packed with potatoes, etc! The bread was hard at the outside cut face; too bad! The snapper fish sandwich was good. Service was friendly and efficient. We'll be back!

We went there for quick drink and ended up staying till close. We got lucky to get spot at bar and we were glad we did. Bartenders were great and talkative made you feel welcome. Made new friends around bar and the laughs kept on going. Oh so did the drinks. Food looked good even though we didn't eat. Our... More

Off the tourist trap path of Cannery Row. Calamari was thinly sliced, spicy, and delectable--some of the best we've ever eaten. Sauce was delicious too. None of that greasy, over battered stuff. Fish fillet side dish and fish and chips were soft and tender. Service very friendly and attentive.

The Sand Bar Restaurant was recommended to us in a chamce conversation in Maui and we are so grateful for the tip because we wouldn't have known it was there otherwise. It is in an obscure place on the commercial pier and was buzzing! Obviously well-known with the locals and regular visitors. We managed to get in after a little... More

Love this locals joint. The clam chowder was fantastic and so were the sand dabs. Not one chewy clam. It feels like you are dining on a house boat. Friendly service.
