They used to have pretty decent bands here, that would play out on patio. Haven't been here in awhile though.....so not sure anymore.

A great selection of beer/ale/stout on tap, as well as Blackthorn cider. And they know how to pull a pint! I had a half-and-half (Harp and Guinness) and it was perfectly pulled. Kudos! And yes, you can get everything from black-and-tan to shandy. We also had food, which came in generous portions. My husband and I ordered the cottage pie... More

Great place to eat with sensible prices and good choice of beer and wine. Skip the starter and save room for desert, the Dalmation Apple Fritters (4) are fantastic.

This pub is now called the Bull and Bear. I think the Mucky Duck had a bad reputation for being wild and crazy. It seems to be a bit calmer and they still have weekly trivia and Taco Tuesday's. Their whiskey and beer selection is pretty amazing. We had the most delicious burger and fish tacos. I notice a lot... More

Ask any local where to go for drinks and they will tell you Bull and Bear (formerly known as the mucky duck as I've been told). The bar did not disappoint as the service was on point last night on St Paddie's day. I enjoyed myself so much I drug myself there this morning for breakfast. Their food is DANK.... More

This is the best bar on alvarado. Luna the chef makes the best food in downtown Monterey hands down. The place is always fun and lively. Megan and Eddie always add to a fun night but if you go during the day mama duck always takes care of us. The door guys Robbie and Shane are awesome. This review is... More

Extensive menu, good service and excellent downtown location. Not fine dining, but after all it's a pub. Chicken wings and fish tacos were just fine, but not sure about the overall menu. Still a fun place.

Three of us dined at The Mucky Duck Pub last night and enjoyed it thoroughly. My wife Judy ordered a steak and said it was excellent, son Dan had a big, well prepared and interesting salad, and I chose a burger with carmelized onions and a fried egg on it. It was yummy, and they cooked it as rare as... More
