If you go here be prepared to eat. The hofbrau sits on the water with an awesome view of Morro Rock. You have sea lions barking in the distance and the occasional otter eating a clam. If you have a big family the Family Feast is awesome, no one leaves hungery. Also, if you dont fancy fish and chips then... More

Big portions and you can get a drink, appetizer and a main course for under $20. Known for their French Dip which are very good. Beautiful spot on the water and you can sit outside if you like.. Quick service and a friendly staff. Will return.

Ate here a few years ago and since we were near by we decided to try it again and it did not disappoint. We had the Reuben and roast beef sandwiches, a side of fries, fish and chips, popcorn shrimp and clam chowder. It was a lot of food! The sandwiches are not skimpy on meat, loaded high and dipped... Nice place for fish & chips and a beer. Service was helpful. Location is nice, on Embarcadero, overlooking the bay.

If you are going for price then this is a good choice. If you want fabulous you may be disappointed. This is just a simple place with simple food, but the views are OK. I would recommend Dorn's over this place for about the same money.

We were greeted by the friendly order-taker and placed our order for two hand-carved roast beef dip sandwiches ($9.95). We found a table and the order was brought out. The sandwiches were huge! They were filled with delicious, tender meat and served with au jus! The menu offers a variety of items, such as burgers, chicken and seafood sandwiches, as... More

The broiled calamari steaks were great. Skip the roll for max flavor. The side salad includes assortment of ingredients you get to choose. Clam chowder was good. Also had a side of bratwurst and kraut that hit the spot. Others got the large shaved steak au jus that is featured. Four or five draft beers available. Nice view but no... More
