Mountain Center Cafe turned out to be a most pleasant surprise. We stopped there for lunch, not expecting a lot from this rustic roadside cafe. Their menu was pretty extensive, and everything we've had there was great. This last time I had a chicken croissant...More

This restaurant is rustic and homey with western-themed decor. The servers were prompt and friendly, and most of the customers seemed to be locals. The dining area was not noisy, though we could hear snippets of conversation from the other tables. One group was literally...More

I eat here often because it is located at a cross roads going either up to Idyllwild or the 74 to the desert. Service is reasonably fast and the menu is varied enough that most people will find something to enjoy. I, personally, am addicted...More

Easter Sunday, many cars parked outside, met when we opened the door with "we're not open." We said how come there is no sign out front? She says "we posted it all last week?" Everybody doesn't live on the hill! Baaaaah!

We had 12 adults and 4 children at a big beautiful table. The home cooked dishes arrived hot and at the same time. Our waitress was fantastic, keeping up with all the little additions you have with children. What a wonderful, special place for us...More
