Hate that it took me this long to find this place. Been going to Shoreline amphitheater for 30 years and missed this spot. The crunchy pork was really crunchy and yet not over cooked. The shrimp tacos were super tasty. Extremely happy with this place. Definitely will hit the place up the next time i'm in town.

Taqueria La Bamba is my favorite Mexican/Latino restaurant in the South Bay. I drop in every week. My favorite foods here include regular burrito (with choice of meats such as grilled chicken, sea bass, pork, chorizo, beef, beef tongue etc), soft taco with same choice of meats as burrito, platos and tamales (chicken, pork or beef). Most of the meats... More

The old location is no more. The good news is that La Bamba moved just down the street to a bigger location. three of us went to lunch on Thursday of this week. The food here is simple and delicious, the portions very generous. You order cafeteria style, off chalkboard menus, hung on the wall. Take your number and go... More

I wasn't impressed because I couldn't get a coffee even though it was in the menu, and my vegetarian burrito was so stodgy and very large. However my companion had shrimp taco and tamale and he really enjoyed it. In hindsight I did not make a good choice from the menu for me as I don't like heavy food. That... More

Fun spot for the entire family. You can eat outside and the kids can bounce in the play area after the meal. The restaurant features delicious, authentic Mexican food. We recommend the burritos. One had the wet burrito with the carne asada, one had a regular burrito with beef, and another had tamales. Delicious. The burritos have beans and rice... More

The burritos are the best in Mountain View - they don't get the same love as the place next door, but the food is better here. I've had almost all the meat choices, enjoyed every one - try something different here and you won't be disappointed. Pupusas are also excellent. There used to be a Nicaraguan place on El Camino... Go with the carne asada burrito. The vegetarian burrito is fantastic too. You can ask for wheat, spinach, or regular tortilla and you can also choose black beans or pinto. You probably only need to eat half of it but it's hard not to stop! I also like the fish tacos and the super tacos! Yum! I think this location's... More

Burrito Me!! Excellent food choice with many places to choose from in S. Cal. this is truly the eatery for your Mexican culture and cuisine. Quick service with a friendly staff helping you all the way (if you need it be), and prepping/cooking the food right where you can watch them stuff it and wrap it! With the buildings location,... Recently returned to this area for the first time in years. I couldn't believe that La Bamba is still this good! Amazing steak quesadillas, veggie burritos, smiling service, cheap prices. This place has been 'discovered' now, so there's a lot of Bobo and yuppie clients. Therefore it has a little less charm than 10 years ago. But it's still worth... More

Whenever we eat Mexican food anywhere else, we always compare it to La Bamba and say... "You know, this is NOTHING compared to it." The food is made right in front of you by people who clearly know what they're doing. Though the building itself is a hole-in-the-wall, the food truly is incredible and will leave you feeling like you... More
