We went here and were told that the Ostrich Burger and the Truffle fries were a must. They were very good.

This is no reflection on the service. The people were very nice and kind. The food was eh. The only thing we enjoyed was the Quack 'n' Cheese. The burrata had a weird texture and the ostrich burger tasted funky. And all was highly overpriced to boot. When I first went there years ago, it was so memorable and delicious.... More

This small restaurant is full of big flavor and big service. The entire staff was so friendly above and beyond normal service. Graff was our server who never left us wanting for anything. Tortilla soup, butternut risotto balls, and the tacos were amazing. Wine list is full and robust.

The Tuna Tartare was just delicious. Young girls at the service and they were very friendly. Very quick service. Also nice for an aperitif of a couple of cocktails.

We had dinner there with my family during thanksgiving week end. First off, the food was great. Inventive, flavourfull, and just enough choices so that you don't spend 20 min riding the menus 5 times. With that, the wines are just great. Overall, the food and wine are priced just right. Everybody including the kids loved it

I led our group here after reading about it on tripadvisor. The menu was small and I was afraid it may be too different for our group. But, everyone loved it. Some got pumpkin sweet potato soup and said it was wonderful. I got Moroccan chicken and it was great. Fettuccine in a light lemon sauce also good. Someone in... More

Good dinner, but overpriced in my opinion for the quality. Our total bill with tip (20%) came to $90 for two of us and we split an Ostrich burger, tacos from the small plate section of the menu, and dessert. Again both items were good and our waitress was fun and personable. Would I go back? Probably not. Plenty of... More

It feels like it is increasingly rare to find a menu with even 1 or 2 items that you haven't seen or eaten at a number of other restaurants. Finding Carpe Diem with its creative selections was a relief and a joy. Ten of us ate dinner in the restaurant section of the establishment. Much of the menu is small... More

Walked in for wine and appetizers in the bar. Had the Artisanal cheese and charcuterie plate. Excellent quality meats, cheese and other tasty goodies. Bread was great and toasted just right. Bar tender was attentive and offered up some wine choices not my original selection. Ended up staying for two glasses of different ones that nicely complimented my plate. Small... More

Description
Carpe Diem offers a sophisticated, yet casual dining experience in the heart of downtown Napa. Our enthusiastic staff and lively atmosphere bring uniqueness to the table. An ever-changing wine list and family share-plate style menu elevates the dining experience from a mechanical process to a convivial experience. As an innovative restaurant, we modify our menu on the last Friday of every month. Executive Chef Scott Kendall creates original dishes that our guests would not anticipate. Their most enjoyed plates include the ostrich burger with cranberry coriander compote, creamy brie and truffle fries or the housemade burrata which is mozzarella heaven served with cabernet sea salt, basil crystals and grilled bread. The chefs also keep things fresh with the soup of the moment and chef's selection of tacos updated weekly with seasonal ingredients. Guests are invited to personalize the dishes "Carpe style" by adding an organic poached duck egg and crispy pancetta to any plate. Wines and beers are expressly selected to compliment the food, enhancing the culinary experience at Carpe Diem. Our team is constantly searching for new wines and beers that will pleasantly surprise both locals and visiting guests. Carpe Diem Brewing Co. is excited to share our beers exclusively at the restaurant with eight constantly rotating tap handles alongside other local craft brews. Some of our unique wines include Outcast, Rosalynd, and Keever. Our extensive wine list with over twenty wines by the glass entices our guests to sample something new and discover the perfect pairing with their meal.
