Fabulous food! Great margaritas! The service was excellent too! We were there on a Sunday evening. Can't wait to dine there again!

Made reservations for a large party and were seated immediately. Service was attentive but not hovering and the food was excellent. Highly recommend!

On a chilly evening this was a warm and inviting place to visit for the first time. It’s a comfortable venue and had the benefit of understated live music. Unfortunately, the food was average to disappointing. One of our meals was served with all the...More

We were visiting family in grass valley and celebrated my birthday at friar tucks. Lovely steak meal, chocolate mousse and a server who sang happy birthday. He was so happy, a really fun guy.

~$100 for two main coursed and one appetizer- are we in SF? Mushrooms for appetizer was ok. NY steak ($30) was disappointing, too much pepper sauce and mediocre quality of meat. Pasta primavera ($20) was almost a scam-the olives which are added are from a...More

Nice seating in the restaurant. Prices are in the upper range but might be normal for the very touristic city. Had some pasta which was plenty and would have been generally good if it had not been drowned in a sea of oil. Had to...More

Best band I've seen in Nevada City. Hope to see them again. Had a nice time with friends. We left and came back. No other place seemed as much fun as this place.

A bit expensive but if you want to splurge thIs may be your place. Visited twice recently and they have really made some improvements. Food quality is excellent and the service is wonderful. While there is always fondue available, check some of the nightly specials.

Yes, "smart casual" is probably the way to go, however, for those in shorts and a t-shirt you will not feel uncomfortable or out of place (especially in the bar).
