The food was good. The service was friendly but slow. The location is very conveniently located, next to the Fox Theater. No gluten free breads are available.

Came here on a Friday morning. They were well understaffed amd the staff were struggling to cope. After way too long the server came to take our order but then noticed that we had no menus. Had an omelette with Swiss cheese. The cheese was like a lump of rubber. The TripAdvisor reviews, generally, looked good but I'm afraid you... More
Visited one Friday evening around 7:20pm before a concert in Fox Theater. Seated at the bar and had my order taken quickly. Drink was served but my burger and fries didnt appear after 30 minutes. I offered to pay for my drink but the server refused to accept it and apologized. I'll never know if that was the wrong evening... More
Rudy's offers veg sausage, bacon etc so I can have the occasional BLT, but my real favorite is the Tower of Power and Popeye's Eyedeho. Both a large mouthful of yummy.
Rudy's, conveniently located in the same building as the Oakland Fox Theater, is a retro-styled diner with exceptionally good food. We've been to the original Rudy's in Emeryville, and the same great quality is carried on in this place. Breakfasts are uniformly delicious, served all day, and there are daily specials for the other meals. For me, outstanding is the... More
Stopped in upon my arrival to the Bay Area with friends. Who doesn't love The Clash? Great standard diner fare in downtown Oakland. Appropriately met up with our friend's bandmates. Food and service were both great. A nice welcome to the area.
Had a business lunch here when I was in Oak-town for meetings. Good place to get a reasonably priced, promptly served diner meal - a turkey-club type place. This place is adjacent to the Fox Theater, and I wished I had noticed it last time I went to the Fox; it would be a great alternative to the more expensive... More

Hi, this is Dan, thanks for the nice review! More
By far the place to go in Oakland for good food yet reasonable prices. I was in the area for four days and I ate at least one meal here each day the whole time I was here. It was the convenience, courteous employees and friendly atmosphere that made me come back everyday. My last visit was during a lunch... More
