This has been my secret spot ever since I moved into the neighborhood. I could live on the Papaya Salad and the Larp salad alone. Everything I have had has been excellent and at these prices, its a real bargain.

Upon arriving and waiting for a table on a Thursday night,we watched dish after dish go out with all looking incredibly fresh and amazing. We settled on the champs sampler, pad Thai, drunken noodle and garlic shrimp. Our favorites were the rice bowl with fresh lettuce and fried spring rolls. However the sausage was good too. We will be back! Large... More

A friend took me to Champa; the very next day I took my son and ran into the friend who took me the day before. The food is varied and excellent; lots of lettuce and veggies to wrap various dishes in; everything from sausage platters to noodle dishes to rice dishes to a variety of sauces for everything. wonderful place... Champa Garden has excellent Laotian cuisine . The food is freshly prepared and very tasty. It can be spicy so if you don't like it hot they will honor it and make it mild. It isn't a large place so make a reservation

I had pinned this place from yelp a couple weeks ago and just got to try it out last weekend. Literally 10min away from Lake Merritt hidden in a residential neighborhood in Oakland. We went there at opening dinner time just after 5 and let me tell you, we were surprised the place was packed!!! We knew then the place... More

This is an out of the way neighborhood restaurant that specialized in Thai and Lao cuisine. It is fairly small so you might have to wait for a table. The service is good and they have an extensive menu. The food is good. The rice ball salad was unusual and very tasty.

The sampler is a must, incredible taste and value. Everything is very good with some excellent dishes. Great place, great value. I believe this one is a little better than the SF one.

This place is definitely up to all the hype! I've recently moved to Europe, and my fiance and I plan to eat here the first night we're back in town to visit family.

Can't believe we've never been to Champa Garden before tonight! We planned to stop by Pho King but it was closed so we wandered up 8th Avenue to Champa...what a treat! It was a Saturday evening so we had a bit of a wait but not bad and somehow we really worked up an appetite perusing the menu online while... More

A friend of mine brought me here during a recent visit to Oakland. It is in a residential area and probably not easy to find if you are not familiar with the area. Your on your own to find parking on the street. But the food is well worth it. It is small and was very crowded, but I guess... More
