We had a lovely brunch here. They serve breakfast and lunch all day, which only makes the choices harder as everything seems to be delicious. I had a chicken scramble with a pancake - I generally don't eat my whole pancake but I couldn't help...More

We were on our way to Mt. Shasta on the back road from Lassen Volcanic National Park, a bit after regular lunchtime, when we turned to head into Old Station for a bite to eat. We both agreed to venture into this nondescript cafe for...More

Tried the Pastrami Sandwich -- it was 'over-smoked' unseasoned beef. I had it on a homemade bun instead of the sliced sourdough as described on the menu. I asked for it with meat & cheese only. It came with mayo. The meat was extremely dry...More

Old Station is one of these tiny communities tucked-away in a secluded area of California that you come up to when exploring the far reaches of the state. It's not much more than a dozen homes, a small motel, a gas station, and... JJ's Café,...More

Found this place out in the middle of nowhere on a drive from Portland Oregon to Louisiana. What a great find. Very nice people in a beautiful town of two buildings if I remember correctly. One thing I do remember correctly and will never forget...More

Called into JJs on our way from Lassen. It was very cold and Lassen was partly closed due to snow so a warm café was just what we wanted. Had pulled pork and brisket, one with fries and the other with coleslaw - both were...More

We knew we had to eat before starting the trek through Lassen but there was little to choose from. Thank heaven or we might not have driven in to this place. This place is very popular and I can see why. All the food seemed...More

We were spending the night in a camping cabin at Manzanita Lake in Lassen national Volcanic park. My idea of camping is being able to sit down and have a hot meal at night and if you want to see Lassen, JJ's is about the...More

At JJ's, we bake our own breads, pastries, pies, cookies, and more. We cure our own corned beef and smoke our own pastrami and pulled pork. Our burgers are made from a 1/2 lb of locally-grown, grass-fed Black Angus and served on a fresh-baked bun.
Come on up and join us. You won't go away hungry!
