We love Passionfish and visit every time we are in the area. This visit was no exception. Wonderful fish, perfectly cooked and sauced. Great desserts too. Highly recommend.

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 November 2016

When down in Pacific Grove/Monterey I struggle to eat anywhere else. I eat out around the SF Bay Area often, and I put this restaurant as one of the best restaurant experiences. I have eaten here numerous times over at least 15 years. The food is still as inventive and delicious as ever. Some things we had were the Fried... More

We wanted a well-reviewed spot for a birthday celebration and Passionfish was it. From aperitifs to dessert, the service, suggestions, and intense flavors filled the four of us. While the restaurant was packed, the layout allows for a cozy, private feel.

It's the best seafood restaurant in the peninsula and they have specials that are delicious. It can be a bit loud and if you're looking for a quiet meal go early or after 9...always a fine dining experience

Beautiful quiet relaxing interior, smooth soothing polite staff, who have extensive knowledge of the menu. Tweaking the menu and picking and choosing from the assembled entree`s presented no problem, thus allowing the discerning diner with a sensitive palate to achieve the meal one chooses, not one chosen for you. A fantastic conception, beautifully executed.

We had a group dinner for 30+ at Passionfish. Overall we were very pleased. The trout ceviche amuse bouche was different, but OK. The pear argula sald was outstanding. The duck entree was fabulous, and the general consensus on the Sturgeon was that it was good but nothing special. My wife said the vegetables and sauce on the fish were... More

Love the locally sourced and sustainable seafood. It's prepared well and great use of different presentations of quality fish. The atmosphere can be a bit on the busy / crowded side, but it's not overwhelming. The beer list could use an upgrade. Enjoyed ourselves, worth a trip if you want a really good and well prepared seafood dish.

One of the 3 best restaurants in the area. Very different dishes and delicious seafood. But the show stopper is the Meyer Lemon Panna Catta. oh my god, I dream about that stuff.

When the first comment out of my friend's mouth when I said I was coming to Monterey was that I had to eat at Passionfish, I knew it was a fantastic place! The fried oysters with kimchee salad were a perfect starter. The scallops with savory rice pudding put a huge smile on my face. I was about to turn... More

The atmosphere was pleasant. The server needs to update her script there isn't a drought any more in CA so water should be served without asking. The appetizers were delicious we had smoked trout ceviche tostaditas. The meal was excellent dungeness crab salad and Sea scallops with savory rice pudding. The Maple-banana bread pudding with ice cream was the best.
