This small, intimate shop sells chocolate, not chocolate candy. Chocolate candy usually has vanilla added to enhance the taste and of course many varieties have added flavors (nuts, fruits, bacon, etc. etc.). They've changed the Chocolate Garage. The sampling space is larger but there are no longer trays of various kinds of chocolate to sample. Apparently, freeloaders were eating them out of house and home. The Chocolate Garage is located in a tiny converted garage nestled in an alley in downtown Palo Alto across the street from the Farmers' Market. The Chocolate Garage isn't a regular retail store: its regular hours are strange but it's worth the effort to go there on Saturday mornings or Wednesdays after work.
